[ How do you explain to someone that it isn't even one specific thing that frightens you anymore? Arya's lived with fear for such a long time now that she can't feel it's source, not exactly. And even here, where there's very little to be afraid of, she's still scared, like fear is a habit she can't break. ]

[ The things Cisco are afraid of... well, only really one thing, only really one person, is here. He can't tell Arya that, though, or warn her about the danger. Warning her would only put her in more danger - and not in a nebulous way, but in an immediate, he-will-try-to-contain-the-information-by-any-means-necessary way. So he falls back on the now familiar topic of differences between worlds. ]

not gonna lie, not super familiar with what lutes actually look like, but if there's strings and a neck and a hollow body then yeah, kind of like that.

[ Music can sometimes be a complicated thing for Cisco, because of his brother. But thinking about introducing Arya to music from his world? There's nothing complicated about that. Just sheer, unadulterated, 100-proof fun ]

every kind. more kinds than you can imagine. just as many kinds as there are types of movies and tv shows. more, probably. there are thousands of instruments, hundreds of years worth of songs.

i can play you some if you'd like. on the guitar, but also some albums. which are like... photographs, but for music.

he did something to my blood, took the speed force right out of me. it was worse than farooq. lasted a few days. i'm going to see if i can get him to agree to a few tests now that he's not trying to murder me.

i don't think he'll hurt anyone unless they start a real fight. eobard's taking the truce seriously, but i'll sleep a lot better if i know there's a backup plan in case that changes.
