[Eddie takes a few sips of his champagne as he watches Cisco look through the menu, obviously pleased and a little nervous, and it soothes him a bit. He glances over the menu himself, registers a few things he likes, and makes his own selection. Waits until after Cisco's said what he wants to go to the kitchen and pick up the plates, walking them back to the table and pausing for a moment before setting it down.

Cisco is looking up at him with a mock-guilty expression on his face, pouring himself some more champagne, and he laughs a little, under his breath, before setting down Cisco's plate with a little flourish. After he sits, he pours a little more champagne for himself too before admiring his plate of pasta.

When Cisco talks, he lifts his chin, eyes bright and expression pleased as he looks up at his boyfriend.]

No, you haven't. You share yours and I'll share mine. Even though yours is probably funnier.

[And he's sure it is, and knowing that Cisco is better at telling a story isn't the least of the reasons he thinks so. It's nice, to see Cisco using his humour to break the ice, to give them a moment of levity so they don't get lost in the slight awkward feeling of a formal date when they've never been on one before, don't know exactly how to act together. It's strange that it would be so much more complicated, somehow, than all the other complex and difficult issues they've managed.

But he's sure they'll get through this too.]

I am all ears.
