[It's a great meal - the food is pretty decent, fancy, but good for something that overwrought, which is why he'd picked the place. Cisco's story is funny and involved, just like all of Cisco's stories, and Eddie enjoys every minute of it. Enjoys telling his own story even if he doesn't have the same flair for telling stories that Cisco does. It's fun, and before long, it's comfortable and cozy and great.
And if Eddie feels it too, that same vividness, he doesn't comment, doesn't even really think clearly about it because he's so focused on Cisco, on his beautiful face and his smile, his bright eyes as he talks. Eddie is completely captivated. So when Cisco pulls out his gift, Eddie is caught off guard for a moment, and then he smiles, eyes bright as he looks at Cisco.]
Okay, good, because I am so nervous about mine, I would not at all be against putting it off a little longer.
[A little laugh, and he reaches out to pick up the box. It's small, looks like jewelry or something, and Eddie feels a flutter of excitement, curiosity. Cisco is creative, he knows that, and so whatever's in the box is sure to be amazing.
So he pauses for a moment, glancing up at Cisco before he flicks open the box, and smiles, slow and broad. It's a bracelet, in a style he really likes, black braided leather and silver, masculine, with his name etched onto the face of it, and when he pulls it delicately out of the box and looks at the underside of the silver, there's a heart. It's obviously something made and not found or bought, and for a moment, Eddie's throat feels tight with how meaningful that is. He's gotten so many gifts in his life, presents from people that cost a lot, expensive and fancy and completely without any real meaning or effort expended. Sometimes they'd been expensive gifts that were things he didn't even like.
But this? This is something completely different, and he glances up with his smile wide and his eyes bright and a little wet, and immediately starts putting it on.]
I love it. You made it, didn't you? Even the engraving? Help me do it up?
[Eddie holds his wrist out to Cisco, expression still bright and happy.]
