You did. You said you and Eddie were of the same house so unless you are brothers then one of you married the other.

So watching a show together is a marriage tradition in Central City?

[ Cisco you are not making any sense. ]

No, but you are both of age and respectable men. Why would you not marry?

That I understand. I do not exactly understand its connection to Houses, but perhaps they are different on your world.

[ awwww but arya was having fun imagining the wedding. not. that she would ever tell anyone. ]

It is probably good that you do not have Houses. Otherwise, you would need banners and words and sigils and truly I think you have enough of those on your Star Labs cups and shirts.

Sometimes I think the world would be better off with Houses. Sometimes I don't. I never would have learned to read and write, otherwise.

Most people? How does that happen?

Yes, and for running a household. I would have to manage my lord husband's social engagements, guests at our home, what comes in and out of the household, assorted letters. That sort of thing.

[ but that sounds like it wouldn't work at all. ]

But how do children sit still for so long? I couldn't do it. And how can the teacher do what you do with so many students? I like our lessons because I can ask as many stupid questions as I like and you don't become angry or even a little annoyed, but I could not do that in a room full of so many because they're likely all asking questions and that takes a lot of time and I also wouldn't know if I could trust any of them.

But I think it is very impressive that everyone in Central City knows how to read. More impressive than cars or anything like that.

It is important. And it is a pain. But that's the job of a lady wife. It's like getting hired except you do not get paid, although I suppose living in relative comfort is payment enough.

Yes! We can read together. 😎

That is very sad. :( But I suppose there is always a price, even if your schooling was supposed to be free.

(It's good that you and Caitlin did not know me when you went to school, because I would have likely punched them in the face for what they did to you, and insult their manhood as well.)

It does sound strange to me. But people on my world accept things that sound strange to you. It depends on where you come from, I suppose.

: D

I could write down the stories from my world. The best ones aren't always in books.

I think you could do whatever you wanted if you wanted it enough. It'd just be harder. And you might not be allowed to wear cat shirts while you do it.

(Good. But I still would have gotten you in trouble, like i did here.)

Then I shall! Jon can write you some too, he likes telling stories even when he pretends to be a man grown and the best leader in the North or something like that.

Old Nan told us all most of them, but sometimes Jon would tell his favorites to me. Or my favorites. Especially when one of us were sad. He's very good at stories.

[personal profile] whichend 2016-06-15 01:25 am (UTC)(link)
I can ask him to. I'm sure he'd love to. He'd have an easier time talking that way.

[ jon can be kinda shy sometimes. ]

[personal profile] whichend 2016-06-17 03:08 am (UTC)(link)
😎

He's not very good at being friendly to people he knows well. He always means well, though.

(Don't tell him I wrote this to you, but he can be rather shy.)
