In for a penny, in for a pound: Cisco climbs up onto the cot, straddles Harry's legs and then sits back. He is careful not to jostle Harry, or rest too much of his weight on him. There's a lot more creaking of leather and general effort than it would have taken if he were wearing normal clothes. But he's not entirely unaware of the fact that, camp and over-the-top as it is, the outfit does kind of look good on him. Cisco leans forward to kiss Harry, pausing just before their lips meet because he has to bat an IV stand out of the way, shift it a few inches further from the bed: ]
Y'know, this feels vaguely unethical somehow.
[ Except the truth is, all jokes aside, it's a hell of a lot healthier than plenty of Cisco's other relationships - not just the obvious parallel with Eobard Thawne, but others that had come before. It is easier to kiss Harry this way; he tucks his hair back behind his ears and brings his hands up to cup Harry's face, thumbs running along Harry's jaw, his cheekbone, his temples. ]
[ He murmurs the response against his lips as he draws his other hand behind him, sliding his arm around him. His hand rests idly at his back, fingers splayed, while he keeps his other hand up by his hair, running it through it. Harrison snorts at the IV getting pushed to the side — it was fine, he didn't need it at this point, and he had half a mind to just tear the damn thing out because. Whatever. ]
Now you feel unethical?
[ It's an incredulous statement, but there's some teasing lurking beneath it. He doesn't seem keen on stopping anyway, fingers curling in his hair. He'd mocked the eyeliner minutes ago but there's something about it that makes his lips curl in amusement. Slowly, he leans into his touch, like someone who's still waking up and coming out of a fog. Then again, the same could apply to his life for the past few months, until recently.
Harrison lets the rest of his fingers curl against Cisco's side — or he would, anyway, if it weren't for that ridiculous leather coat. He pulls back briefly to give him a flat look, as if to say "really?". ]
And what's it gonna take to turn that maybe into a yes?
[ Cisco's eyes are bright and mock-innocent as he says it; he had only managed to smudge the eyeliner a little with the tissue, and most of it is still there, highlighting his eyes, accentuating them. He nips lightly at Harry's bottom lip - more lightly than he might at any other time, but the man did just get knocked unconscious. Cisco figures that warrants going a little easy on him.
But he likes that Harry is present enough to give him grief, feels that familiar mix of annoyance and warm fondness. ]
Mmm. Only vaguely. I don't know, maybe it's the outfit, I'm feeling awfully morally gray all of a sudden...
[ At Harry's gesture, Cisco smirks, sitting back once again and glancing down at it, considering: ]
What, you want me to take it off?
[ Someone with a bit more shame than Cisco would not have made such a production of it, rolling his shoulders so that the jacket slips off, pulling it away from his body and then dropping it onto the floor. But Cisco has little shame at the best of times, and more and more these days, even less of it when he's with Harry. ]
That jacket saved my ass. And Caitlin's. And a buncha people in that building.
[ For a moment, Cisco contemplates just leaving it at that. Not telling Harry the rest. But he would be out of this bed soon enough (since when did Harry take the proper time to recuperate) and he would hear about it from Caitlin or any of the rest of them soon enough, and then he would get pissed because he's supposed to be the first to know when there's Stuff with Cisco's powers. Or, at least, he has traditionally been the first to know.
So Cisco shrugs his shoulders, coming in for another kiss before he says: ]
I did a great Reverb impression, by the way. I even did the thing, you know. The... vibration blast or whatever, with my hand. It was pretty dope.
[ But he's not too serious about that, not concerned that Cisco's going to become anything even remotely like Reverb. He'd been confused moments ago when he was still coming to, but it was now clear as day that one was not the other. He rubs his thumb at the back of Cisco's neck idly at that, giving him a soft, fond look before rolling his eyes, pulling both hands back to allow him to get that ridiculous jacket off. ]
Mm, I'm sure. It certainly covered your ass.
[ It's a dry remark, accompanied by a raised eyebrow. He looks all too amused at his own joke, but the smugness is quickly wiped away by the kiss, and his next statement. Mostly the latter. Harrison furrows his brows at that — Cisco hadn't been able to do anything offensive up until now, even with all the tweaks they'd done to both iterations of the goggles. Harrison draws his hands up to Cisco's arms, rubbing at them in an attempt at being comforting. It's not the greatest and he'd be more aware of that if he were much less groggy, but for now, all he can think of is— ]
You've come a long way.
[ It's a quiet statement, and he follows it with another kiss, shifting so that his arms slip around him again, tugging him in closer. ]
[ Come on, Harry, haven't you learned by now that making slightly uncomfortable jokes is how Cisco copes with the things that worry him most in the world? If he's going to deal with using his powers to open breaches, and dressing like Reverb and talking like Reverb and now this other new power of Reverb's, he's going to be making as many Fringe and Star Trek mirror-verse jokes as he possibly can. That's just his way.
But Harry keeps moving his thumb like that, against the soft hairs at the back of his neck, and he has to know all too well by now that that's the best way to get Cisco to stop arguing about anything at all.
And Harry sees right through the lightness in his voice when he talks about the new development of his powers, answers him with that blend of gravity and reassurance that is so uniquely Harry's. Cisco shivers despite himself, when Harry runs his hands along his arms. That blast of energy hadn't just happened. He had felt it moving through his body, buzzing down along his arm and wrist and out his palm. He distracts himself from remembering that by kissing Harry, letting himself get pulled in close, his hair falling forward and brushing against Harry's shoulders and neck as they kiss. ]
I'm really glad you're okay.
[ It goes without saying, probably. From the way Cisco had rushed in, from his relief, from his eagerness to touch and kiss and be near to Harry now. But he says it anyway, voice low and totally sincere and free from humor or sarcasm in a way that is unusual, for Cisco. ]
[ It's the sincerity in his voice that makes Harrison draw him in closer, protective instincts flaring up almost instantly as he runs a hand through his hair. There's almost a vulnerability there, one that makes him want to build up a wall to keep him safe — from his abilities, from Zoom, from anything, really. He can't even muster up a response beyond that, save for a soft, simple: ]
Yeah.
[ He's always been a man of few words, but even that doesn't seem to speak enough when it comes to how he feels. Harrison just keeps kissing him instead, soft but intense, as if to say, "I'm glad you're okay too." He draws it out, letting each kiss linger, and rests his other hand at his side again, fingers curling against the fabric of his shirt. If they were anywhere else, he'd probably push it, paw idly at the hem, but this was Snow's domain and he wasn't that stupid.
