for weddings on earth it's traditional to have some of your friends kind stand next to you
they are like your squad during the ceremony
probably they used to be guards or some shit to protect you from brigands
but i'm not anticipating any brigands

and you're pretty much the closest i got to family here

there's family and friends and a lot of flowers

and then there's a big party with music and food and speeches

I mean, I figured there would be vows exchanged...promises that you two would keep, and that would be it. And people there to witness it.
