yeah that is kinda weird.

[ Cisco's brain immediately tosses up the oh so helpful suggestion that Rin staying in communal housing under those circumstances is very suspicious, and leaps from there neatly to 'what if he's secretly evil and hiding it and he's up to something and going to hurt Taako'. A part of him recognizes it as paranoia, as a reflex, but... Cisco is sure as hell going to vet this guy the first chance he gets. Even if he was nice to Taako after he saw those ghosts. ]
