[ It's absolutely a diplomacy thing. He's already pulled his suit from New Years out and is currently dead-eying it at his loft, nudging Pythagoras away from it with his foot occasionally. ]
Because that wouldn't be suspicious.
We won't have to say anything. I'd imagine that our actions alone when it comes to him would clue people in. Anyone with half a brain, anyway. I don't want anything to do with anyone otherwise.
okay who am i kidding, i'm a terrible liar, it'd probably look way sketch.
this is one of those cases where you're expecting too much of people. everyone probably just assumes you're acting distant to him because the doppleganger thing weirds you out. and they might extend that to me and barry if they assume we're your crew and he's just some guy that looks exactly like our friend but isn't.
besides. even if someone picked up on a bad vibe, one conversation with him would probably be enough to change their mind. i don't think he ever bothered trying to win you over. he can be very convincing.
[ More convincing and charismatic than Harry, by miles. Harry is a better man, but Eobard seems like a better man. And sure, people tend to trust Cisco, because he gives off an air of being harmless, but they don't look at him as an authority the same way they do Eobard, and they never will. Cisco can get people to like him alright, but getting them to respect him is another matter. ]
[ He eyes the message flatly, annoyed. Cisco isn't wrong, which is the worst part about it all. It really is like before he crossed over to Earth-1 all over again. ]
He impersonated your Earth's Harrison Wells for over a decade. I don't doubt that he can be very convincing.
I'll get cleaned up.
[ It's not that he cares about impressing people. He doesn't. First impressions are essential though and if he wants people to listen to him over Eobard Thawne— well. Wearing the same hoodie for days on end probably isn't the best plan. ]

[ Cisco found a great room with a pond with copious mud that Pythagoras can play in. And Harry didn't say not to let her play in the mud, so.... ]
