others have got dangerous powers, though. i met this woman whose abilities made it so everything she touched, like with her bare hands, turned explosive. she didn't want to hurt anyone, but... she couldn't turn it off.

and for other metas i guess it's just a shame thing. not like they had a choice. they just got turned into freaks against their will and now they gotta live with it.

like if a random stranger walked up and kicked you right in the nuts and then while you were rolling around on the ground they tossed you a bag of candy and walked off, you'd be a little less excited about the candy than you would if you bought it in a store on your own sans excruciating pain.

when the particle accelerator exploded it gave some people powers but it also, like, killed people. a lot of people, and caused a lot of chaos.
and now half the time when people hear about metas it's the bad ones who are using their powers to murder or rob banks or wreak havoc.

honestly, the flash is probably the main reason people in the city haven't gone full-on witch hunt on metas.

I mean I feel you, but if this explosion is the kick in the nuts and the candy is the powers, then a whole lot of thugs just got the kick in the nuts without bonus candy cause they're fucking dead. And I for sure know what I'd prefer.
