okay so i didn't want to say this directly out in public, but it's possible that destroying the ring might destroy my ability to... be? i have no idea but it's not.... exactly something i want to find out right now. maybe one day, if... i dunno, i start to go vengeful, but not...now

sure thing. we can do that. and if you're willing to let me do some tests (carefully!) i can see if it's possible to detect what it is that's connecting whatever form you're in now to the ring. maybe we can find a way to build you a safeguard, in case something happens to the ring. or... who knows what we might be able to do.

Something occurred to me.
I don't really care if it's crass to ask people if they're dead or not. There's enough of a sample here that it's worth asking.
And then there's Eobard Thawne.
Given that he reads everything and reads into everything, I wouldn't put it past him to 1) be very unfortunate about some of the content (people will survive) and 2) perhaps discover some very unfortunate things about himself (this is the one I care about).
So perhaps we should instead ask people how they got here and what they were doing beforehand. Pose it as a gentle icebreaker.

look, elaborate web of lies is always a possibility, but my gut instinct tells me that's too spot-on a clusterfuck to be fake
could be an alternate barry-who-is-also-the-flash, but my money's on future you. hasn't happened by my point in the timeline because you wouldn't keep something like that a secret from me, plus i'm pretty sure after what we found out right before i came here... there's a high chance we're gonna be trying to open some breaches and find our way back to earth 2 to have some words with a certain supervillain sometime in the future. makes sense to me you might end up in an earth 3 or an earth 4 before you found the right stop.

i don't actually think that's how it works.
if we're talking about learning skills fast, maybe if it was something like running up a wall or on top of water. but stripping is something everyone already knows how to do badly? like, you already know how to take your clothes off. the key is to take them off in a way that's sexy. and i would think that research would be more important than anything else for that. maybe like 60% research and 40% practice.
like. i'm just guessing here. it's not like i actually know anything about it. not exactly an engineer by day and an exotic dancer by night over here.
